Arunava (Deep) Banerjee
Deep started playing the piano at the age of 16 and attended the Calcutta School
of Music. Deep played in several bands including The Nul 'n' Void, Crimson Clan and 48109
before founding the Distant Dream project. Deep's main musical influences are Dream Theater,
Dire Straits, Deep Purple and Rush.

Sujit Srinivas
Sujit owes his introduction to guitar to two of his buddies from Engineering
college. One of them introduced him to Dream Theater as well, which pretty much
changed his entire perception of music. Sujit played in several bands before
co-founding the Distant Dream project. Sujit's vocal idols include James LaBrie,
Layne Staley, David Coverdale and David Gilmour and favorite guitarists include
John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, David Gilmour and The Edge. His current
playlist includes Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Explorer's Club and
Alice in Chains.

Jake Reichbart
Born in Goteborg, Sweden, April 2, 1964, Jake has lived in Winnipeg, Tel Aviv and
Amsterdam before settling in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1991. Jake studied at the
Rimon School of Music, Tel Aviv 1985-1987, which features the same study program as
the Berklee School of Music. During this time he attended seminars given by Pat
Metheny, Chick Corea, Gaty Burton, Larry Coryell, Thijs Van Leer, Joe Pass, Richie
Beirach and David Leibman. During these years Jake has performed around Tel Aviv with
pop, rock, jazz, and blues bands. In 1989, Jake Joined Thijs Van Leer, leader of
legendary Dutch band "Focus", to perform with him in Holland.

Arunima Dasgupta
A grade 5 pianist from the London School of Music, as well as a trained drummer,
Arunima is at present the female vocalist for ‘The Saturday Night Blues Band’
(India’s only mainstream blues outfit.). She is an English literature graduate
and writes poetry in her free time (you can check out some of it at
www.poetry.com
under Arunima Banerjee). She is also an aspiring artist and has just had her first
exhibition in April 2005.

Jayanta Dasgupta
Lead guitarist and vocalist for "The Saturday Night Blues Band", Jayanta attended the
renowned Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) at Musicians Institute (MI), Hollywood.
Jayanta's blues/rock style of guitar playing added a new dimension to the Distant Dream
project. He has been playing the professional music circuit in India for the past 20 years,
and is at present involved in developing and manufacturing the ECMAN range of solid state
and vacuum tube amplifiers for electric music instruments.

Robert Berger
Bob, originally from Cincinnati,Ohio, moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1993.
He is married and has two children, ages 3 1/2 and 5 1/2. His main musical
influences are Rush, Journey, Led Zeppelin, country rock, and any 80's
metal. Bob is also an avid golfer, enjoys reading fiction,
but mostly can be found getting beat up on by his kids.

Spencer Bastian
Spencer has over 10 years experience in sound engineering and mixing. Spencer's involvement
as the sound engineer for Distant Dream project helped take the music to a new level. Spencer
is also heavily influenced by progressive rock bands such as Dream Theater.

Randy Pouliot
Randy is a freelance writer of fictional short stories and poetry. He grew up in Detroit and now lives with
his wife and kids in Hartland Michigan. He holds a Masters of Divinity Degree from Ecumenical Theological Seminary in
Detroit. Randy spends a lot of his free time working with teenagers in his Youth Group along with pursuing his writing.
His professional career includes over 20 years in Information Technology. Scuba diving around the world and sailing
are two of his favorite activities.

Chiradeep Lahiri (Chiro)
Having played in the professional music circuit in India for the past 18 years and
heavily influenced by American drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, Chiro is at present doing
a lot of sessions playing as well as performing live regularly with a number of
bands in Kolkata. His playing encompasses a wide variety of styles including rock,
fusion, jazz-funk and pop.

David McWilliam
Dave is a professional bassist and drummer with over 20 years of experience.
He studied jazz and other styles at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Dave performs with several Rock and Jazz groups in the Detroit area and teaches
the art to dozens of students.

Lara Hall
Lara Hall has been awarded five violin diplomas and has performed in
most of the major New Zealand chamber music festivals. She has been a soloist with
the Auckland Philharmonia, the Auckland Chamber Orchestra and has also performed with
the New Zealand Symphony, the Auckland Sinfonietta, the Saint-Matthews Chamber Orchestra,
and the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. She has toured New Zealand as a member
of Ivinkaia Trio, Goldfingers Quartet, Kalos Quartet, and the Ogen Trio. Ms. Hall
was Concertmaster of the Auckland Chamber Orchestra and New Zealand Youth
Orchestra for several years and has recently spent a short period as Acting
Concertmaster of the Auckland Philharmonia. She was an adjunct violin teacher at
the University of Waikato in 2003, and has taught master classes in various locations
including the University of Auckland.

Shankar-Ajay Subramanian
Shankar played in the Ann Arbor based band 48109 before lending a hand to the
Distant Dream project. Shankar's musical influences include Pink Floyd, The Who and Dream Theater. Shankar
is also a big fan of Ilayaraja (Indian composer).

Ted Adams
Ted Adams studied graphics designing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
He helped design the Distant Dream website. Ted was also responsible for creating
the Distant Dream logo as well as the Distant Dream Studios logo. Ted is currently
a freelance graphic designer working with several companies in the greater Detroit area.

Neel Adhikari
Singer, songwriter and music director, Neel, lives his life inside a
computer with his music softwares or on stage with a microphone.
Neel is a student of indian classical music and a core member of fusion outfit
'Class Apart'. Neel also creates radio and television ads and jingles.

Veena Kulkarni
Veena* is a concert pianist from the Indianapolis area. She is currently
finishing her doctorate in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at the University
of Michigan. Her favorite composers are Franz Liszt and Olivier Messiaen,
with George Crumb slowly entering the pantheon. Her most recent solo
performance was entitled, "A light shines in the darkness," featuring the
music of George Crumb and Franz Liszt. She is also part of the Eero Trio
and many other collaborations.

Swarna Basu
Swarna Basu of The Nul'n'Void was closely involved
during the early stages of Distant Dream. A
classically trained pianist, he assisted with the
musical arrangements on some of the songs. He also
plays guitar and considers classic rock bands such as
Dire Straits, The Eagles, Van Halen as well as The
Beatles among his major influences. He lives in
Pennsylvania where he is a chemistry professor.

Eric Moore
From Pittsburgh to Portland, Jackson Hole to Ann Arbor, Eric Moore’s restless spirit
pulls him throught the landscapes of the soul. As a teenager, Eric fell in love with the Stones, the Who &
Led Zeppelin. Later in college he discovered songwriters like Dylan, Paul Simon, and most importantly, Van Morrison.
In 1997 Eric recorded his 1st CD, Picture Frame, in Portland, OR.
His 2nd disc of original tunes, Songdog, was released in 2000.
